It is a great pleasure for me to congratulate my Russian colleagues on the anniversary of the geographical society of the Russian Federation and Russia in general. The Russian Geographical Society is a giant huge organization - both in time and in scale - known for its travelers, discoverers such as Mikluho-Maklay, Semenov-Tien-Shansky, Berg and many others.
The Russian Geographical Society not only discovered new geographical objects, it also studied life, identity, ethnography of those regions where it worked and researched, and by this it made a huge contribution to world civilizations.
Today, we continue our cooperation with our colleagues: in 2014, a cooperation agreement was signed between Mr. Sergei Shoigu, the President of the Russian Geographical Society and me, which we are pleased to fulfill. Our geographers also participate in various competitions held by the Russian Geographical Society, for example, in 2016 Azerbaijani geographers received the 'Crystal Compass' award.
Every meeting with my fellow geographers is a great pleasure for me, because we enrich ourselves, work with pleasure and rest well.
I congratulate the Russian Geographical Society on its glorious anniversary, wish success, good luck, new discoveries, new achievements.
