From 7 to 9 September, the 26th International Forum and Exhibition "OTDYKH Leisure" will be held in Moscow at "Expocentre" at Krasnopresnenskaya Naberezhnaya, which, under the daring motto "We Will Rock Tourism", will unite tourism industry professionals and support them in the difficult times of the coronavirus crisis. More than 400 companies from 50 regions of Russia and 13 foreign countries have confirmed their participation. Together, the travelers will share their experience and develop a new tourist map of Russia.
At a time when the world is recovering from the pandemic and the state is actively involved in the development of the tourism industry, the autumn meeting of specialists will be of great importance in highlighting the stages of the implementation of the national tourism project, discussing a new bill, and exchanging information on fresh tourism programs and projects.
Distinctive features of the business program of the "OTDYKH Leisure 2021" forum will be the speeches of speakers-practitioners of the tourism market, who will share their stories of business survival, overcoming and success. The full range of issues concerning the industry today will be considered among like-minded people. Three stages, over 30 business sessions and 160 speakers.
As part of the exhibition of the forum, the Russian Geographical Society will present a photo exhibition "Searching for the New. Traveling with the Russian Geographical Society" dedicated to travelling to the distant corners of the country. The exhibition will feature the works of photographers-participants in the annual competition "The Most Beautiful Country", which has been held by the Russian Geographical Society since 2015. Breathtaking landscapes of the Sayan Mountains, the northern lights, the Manpupuner Plateau, bears, deer and killer whales – visitors to the forum will be able to appreciate the full beauty of unexplored Russia through camera lenses. In seven years, more than 570 thousand photographs took part in the largest wildlife competition, the best ones were chosen for the exhibition.
An interactive element of the exhibition, with the help of which it will be possible to immerse even more in the study of the most colorful sights of Russia, will be the film "Russia. A Virtual Tour", which will be shown at a special VR-cinema. The project is made using the technology of 360-degree spherical video, which creates the "immersion effect": you can sail across the cold waves of the Arctic Ocean, fly over the peaks of Ai-Petri, walk on the ice of Lake Baikal and dive into the waters of the Pacific Ocean, exploring the rich flora.
The region-partner of the "OTDYKH Leisure 2021" exhibition is Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, the main city of which celebrates its 800th anniversary and is declared "New Year's capital of Russia 2021–2022".
The traditional annual large-scale meeting of "OTDYKH Leisure" market leaders has been held annually since 1995. The exhibition is attended by tour operators, airlines, international online booking systems, global hotel chains, national offices and host companies from countries from all over the world, as well as representatives of regional administrations.
