The head of the delegation, Ivan Chaika, spoke about the progress in implementing the RGS’s project "Russian Heritage of the Himalayas: Journey Continues." Since 2015, scientific research and a series of expeditions have been conducted in Bhutan, Nepal, India, China, and Pakistan, and artist Sergey Dudko has created a collection of paintings depicting all the highest peaks. The exhibition of paintings has already been held at the Russian House in New Delhi (India), and will also be presented to Nepali viewers.

The project participants updated the contribution of Russian researchers of Central Asia, published a book "To Nepal and Tibet: Journey Continues" and the monograph "Geography of the Himalayas".  These publications, as well as the book "Picturesque Russia" (by Ivan Chaika and Evgenia Kambarova), which introduces the nature of our country, were gifted to the Russian Embassy in Nepal.

The visit took place within the framework of the project "Walking in the Clouds" with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, Rossotrudnichestvo, the founder of the Alias Group investment holding Boris Yunanov, and Afipka NPZ.
